Who I Am
Matthew Anas is a three-time Canadian Screen Award-winning picture editor working in Toronto’s thriving film and television industry. A sensitive team-player who meets deadlines with an easy going nature that belies his meticulous work ethic, Matt is consistently reliable and creative.
Growing up in Toronto’s suburbs with his Greek-Canadian father and British-born mother, Matt learned a love of movies early. The passion took root at Western University where he graduated with a B.A. in film studies. Matt cut his teeth learning from industry pros on indies American Psycho and Cairo Time and drama series The Eleventh Hour.
With solo credits on The Border, Still Life: A Three Pines Mystery, The Best Laid Plans, Orphan Black, Wynonna Earp, Cardinal, Coroner, and most recently, as a series editor on Fortunate Son, Matt has demonstrated his ability to move up the competitive film industry ladder and prove his worth.
